Hey, we'd be bad marketers if we couldn't do it for ourselves.

In five years, we've gone from two dropout co-founders to a young global team, well-known in the industry and beloved by thousands of fans and followers (and of course, our clients). And it wasn't by accident. Like it or not (we like it), this is how modern businesses are built: publicly, on social media.

One million dollars.

That's how much pipeline we can easily attribute directly to our journey on social media. The tool is incredible, and the path has been wild. Here's how we did it; and if you run a business or work in marketing, stick around, you're going to like where this goes.

A Humble Start

What became a major asset and revenue stream started with simple frustration: the client work we were doing in Ravie's early days wasn't exciting or flashy enough. Late one night, our co-founder Austin made a short looping animation and, without thinking much of it, posted it to social media.

The next day, he checked his phone. 4,000 views—more than double anything he'd posted before. That was a lot of people to us. Fueled by curiosity, he made another the next week. Double the views again. Then another. And another. The style refined. People started asking how he did it. Then, much to our surprise, one of those people offered to pay us thousands of dollars to do it for them.

As soon as we saw it could bring in clients, we doubled down. Austin made one every single week for months and live-streamed the process for accountability. A community formed around these posts, and it quickly became our main source of new clients.

Science Behind the Game

We've had our ups and downs—burnout, creative slumps, algorithmic valleys. But one of those valleys led us to a breakthrough: quantitative analysis. We put every factor we could think of into a spreadsheet—length, color palette, music choice, posting time—and cross-referenced it all with likes, views, and engagement.

We found patterns. We tested theories. It worked.

Suddenly we were getting hundreds of thousands of views per video. Eventually, we didn't even need to actively pursue clients—they came to us. We had so many projects we couldn't take them all on.

After scaling the agency and bringing more people into production, we jumped back in with a refined formula. That's when things really shifted: millions of views per video. Not once. Not twice. Three, four times in a row. Numbers we'd never seen before. Numbers that transformed our business.

Parallel Journey

Meanwhile, Noah our other co-founder had a similar trajectory. Seeing Austin's early success, he created a few loops of his own. They did well. Then, during a community call, someone asked how he'd made a specific part of one loop. So he made a quick tutorial and posted it.

It doubled the views of the original loop.

That moment sent him down a path to 71,000 followers and a multi-video sponsorship deal with Adobe.

It Wasn't Just Us

This doesn't stop with our studio. Last year, a client asked us to help them post exciting, cryptic videos about their offering. With our creative direction and production, their main account on X went from 30,000 to over 500,000 followers in under six months.

Until now

This journey and obsession has woven its story deep into the lifeblood of our business. We're so honored to have a community of thousands of designers and animators following us. And irrevocably grateful to everyone who's been part of the journey along the years. We're overjoyed to say that this journey is not over, not for a long time. We are learning every day how to tailor social media better to our exact goals and the goals of our clients. Our knowledge has blossomed into its own branch of the business in production and consultancy. None of this could have even happened if we had not gone through the trials and tribulations that have been the last five years.
